The staircase to the second floor does not have protective gates, so young children will need supervision indoors. Outdoors, our backyard includes a steep slope with a brook at the bottom. For safety reasons, we kindly ask that guests, adults and children alike, do not go down the slope. As we’re in a rural area, you may also see wildlife such as deer, foxes, and other animals in the yard. They’re beautiful to watch, but not safe to approach. Families who are comfortable with these considerations will find our home a cozy, rustic retreat surrounded by nature.
